A plaza
for the sea.
A seafront plaza for the Jazan corniche. A great round beach plaza opens onto the water around a sunken seating court; piers reach out to round thatched shade huts and boat moorings. Behind the beach a promenade leads into hexagonal garden rooms and a curved retail building with terraces looking back over the sea.

corniche.
The plaza sits on the corniche, the Red Sea waterfront of Jazan, on a strip of shore between the water and a coastal road. Sea breeze, shade and evenings on the sand shape the design.
