JAZAN
BOULEVARD
بوليفارد جازان
A park
on the sea.
A seafront park for Jazan on a strip of land between the Red Sea and the city road. A promenade follows the rock revetment along the water; behind it the land opens into garden rooms — an amphitheatre plaza, family lawns with timber cabins, a pool garden — anchored by a glass restaurant tower on its own round plaza. Along the road a long timber shop arcade with a shaded terrace closes the park and faces the parking.
The master plan, the seafront promenade, the pavilions, kiosks and shop arcade, the landscape and the visualisations were prepared by Mohamed Bider for AMSY Group.

On the Jazan

The park
from above.
A curving network of paths divides the strip into garden rooms; the promenade runs along the water and the shop arcade along the road.
Studies.
The park studied as zones, a section from the sea to the road, and the kiosk pavilion taken apart. Select a study.
Materials
& colours.
Clay roof tile, red-brown brick and stained hardwood for the pavilions and the arcade, black steel frames with signal-yellow accents, concrete and interlocking pavers for the walks — set against sand, lawn and palms.
The seafront.
The promenade along the water: the glass restaurant tower, timber swings and benches, steel pergola gates and the shaded seating walk.
Pavilions
in the gardens.
Two-storey kiosks with a roof deck, cabins around the pool garden, and clipped planting along the paths.
The shop arcade.
A long timber arcade along the road with lantern-lit shopfronts, a deep shaded terrace of lounges and cafe seating, and steel "tree" canopies at the car-park entrances.
