01 / The concept

Shade, lawns
and roses.

A city park for Jazan built around shade: in a hot, humid coastal city the garden is a place for evenings and families. White tensile tents and long timber pergolas shelter the walks, mature trees frame the lawns, an amphitheatre gathers events, a large timber playground anchors the family zone and two sculptural brick towers mark the entrance.

My role

Mohamed Bider designed the park for IMOTEP: the master plan and zoning, the shade structures, pergolas and gateway towers, the playground and amphitheatre, the landscape and the visualisations.

02 / Location

A garden
in Jazan.

The park sits in Jazan on the Red Sea coast, between two city roads. The climate shapes everything: deep shade, evening light and generous lawns for families.

A grid of paths divides the block into garden rooms: lawns under mature trees, the amphitheatre at the centre, pergola walks along the edges and the playground in the family zone.
