NCVC
EXHIBITION
معرض المركز الوطني لتنمية الغطاء النباتي
A journey through
the land.
An immersive exhibition in the headquarters of the National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification. Visitors pass through a carved timber door into a dark hall where projection-mapped walls show the Kingdom’s rocks, corals and fossils, a geodesic dome becomes a 360° theatre, a volcano glows in a sculpted bowl and an interactive terrain table explains the land the Center works to restore.
All studies, design development, technical drawings and the BOQ (bills of quantities) for this exhibition were prepared by Mohamed Bider for AMSY Group — from the first scheme in 2024 to the installation in the headquarters in 2025.

The hall.
The headquarters building and its empty double-height hall in September 2024, before the exhibition.
Studies.
The hall studied as zones, a journey, an exploded model and a light and projection plan. Select a study.
Materials
& colours.
Sandstone, red sand and basalt from the land itself, a white membrane dome and white solid-surface plinths that take the projections, an aged carved timber door, black surfaces for the dark hall and warm LED lines that guide the visitor.
The first
scheme.
The first direction, 2024: a warm, sunlit hall of desert sands, an oasis wall, a projection dome showing the sky and a long landscape model.
The final
scheme.
The dark hall comes alive: projected corals and fossils on the walls, the dome glowing at the centre, the volcano in its bowl and the green terrain table.
The headquarters
interiors.
Alongside the exhibition, interior studies for the headquarters: an auditorium, meeting lounges and timber-lined pods for reading, working and screening.
On site.
Installation in the headquarters, March 2025: the dome frame going up, the walls clad, the projections tested.
Client: National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification. Design and delivery: AMSY Group (2024–2025).
