ALULA
MOSQUES
تأهيل مساجد العلا
A calm setting
for community.
Two neighbourhood mosques in AlUla regenerated as calm, shaded places to gather. The arrival is clarified, the facades are restored in cream lime plaster with arched lattice windows and carved timber doors, prayer and ablution spaces are renewed, services are hidden, and each mosque gains a planted forecourt with timber pergolas and seating where the community can wait, meet and rest.
All studies, design development, technical drawings and the BOQ (bills of quantities) for both mosques were prepared by Mohamed Bider for AMSY Group, with the site follow-up through construction.
