A private cinema designed as a retreat: deep seating facing a wide screen, acoustic timber panels, a starlit ceiling and lighting that fades away when the film begins. Two schemes were explored — warm walnut under a star ceiling, and dark acoustic panels with leather recliners and a warm cove.
Mohamed Bider designed the project for IMOTEP: the concept, two interior options, the 3D plans and section, the visualisations and the 360° experience, with the material and lighting design.

The room set out in three dimensions: the screen wall, the stepped rows of seating, the side tables and the projector line.

Option A —
walnut and stars.
Walnut acoustic panels with bronze reveals, a fibre-optic star ceiling, soft grey modular seating and a timber stage under the screen.
Option B —
leather and shadow.
Dark fabric panels, tan leather recliners in two rows, a warm lit cove and a timber floor — the room closes around the film.
