AMMAR
APARTMENT
شقة عمار
Warmth in
the everyday.
A new ground-floor apartment in Riyadh, handed over as a bare white shell, becomes a calm home in earth tones: lime plaster and microcement, a timber slat screen that divides living from dining without closing it, woven pendants, olive trees, hand-woven rugs — and two bedrooms that open onto their own small courtyards.
All studies, the interior design concept, the material and lighting design, the visualisations, technical drawings and the BOQ (bills of quantities) for this apartment were prepared by Mohamed Bider for AMSY Group.

The shell
today.
The site visit of 18 April 2026: a new, bare apartment — white walls, a pale stone floor, linear air slots in the ceiling, tall sliding doors onto narrow courtyards, and the stone-clad entrance wall outside.
Studies.
The apartment read as layers, as a zoning plan and in section. Select a study.
Earth,
timber, weave.
Lime plaster and microcement for the shell; oak slats and reclaimed timber for the screen and the low tables; terracotta, bouclé, rattan and jute for softness; a hand-woven red rug in every room.
Living, dining,
kitchen.
One long room, kept open: a low sofa on a hand-woven rug, a slatted oak screen that filters the dining room behind it, woven pendants over the table, olive trees in clay pots — and a plaster island in the kitchen bay.

TodayDesignBedrooms on
courtyards.
Each bedroom opens through full-height glass onto a small walled courtyard: a low timber bed and bench, linen and woven pendants inside; olive trees and a timber pergola outside.

development.
Earlier rounds of the same rooms: a paler living room, a master bedroom with an armchair and cactus courtyard, a darker guest bedroom with rattan wardrobes.
Scope.
What the design covers.
Space planning, the oak slat screen, furniture, rugs and lighting for the long room.
A plaster island with oak cabinets and open shelving in the kitchen bay.
Two bedrooms with timber beds and benches, opening onto planted courtyards.
Warm cove and track light, and one eight-material palette for the whole apartment.
